Purpose Statements
Sustainability: The Mount Aloysius College community recognizes the essential nature of sustainable practices to the welfare of the Earth and its current and future inhabitants (consistent with the views of the Sisters of Mercy related to the Earth as a Critical Concern, the Catholic Climate Covenant’s U.S. Catholic Climate Declaration, and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals). Thus, we strive to understand, develop, implement, and teach sustainable practices to effectuate change in all areas of our influence.
Recycling: The Mount Aloysius College community understands that a robust recycling practice is an important component of the institutional goal of Sustainability.
Recycling Committee: The purpose of the Recycling Committee is to plan and implement a robust recycling practice.
The of purpose the guide is to present information on the important issues of recycling and sustainability in support of the Mount Aloysius College Recycling Committee and the entire Mount Aloysius Community.
